Checking avails allows media owners to make sure that there are enough available impressions for their targeted goal.
For example, if a media owner wishes to create a line item targeting 5 000 impressions, but our avails checks only returns 2 000 available impressions, then there are good chances that the line item will not be able to deliver its goal.
When checking avails, we make a distinction between reserved and unreserved impressions. Reserved impressions are impressions that are reserved to Hivestack. We make a strong commitment to deliver those impressions. Unreserved impressions are impressions that are not reserved to Hivestack. Those impressions are disputed between different ad servers. Hivestack may or may not deliver those impressions.
